Snow fell overnight,covering the whole yard in white.

The car parked in the yardis covered in snow too.

After the car drives away,the ground beneath it is bare.

The amount of snow that never fell on that patch of ground,and the amount of snow that fell on the roof of the car—the two tire tracks left behind on the white roadare the equals sign connecting them.
