Using sophistry without a ruler

A straight line drawn with a rulerfeels cold and inorganic.I like the gentle lines drawn by hand.

When I said that,the teacher's voice was as sharp as a straight line.

"Feelings have nothing to do with it.Use a ruler."

I really like things that have nothing to do with it.
