Stealing the sea

Every day,the moon's gravity tries to steal the sea.But Earth's gravity is stronger.

Thank you, Earth's gravity.If you were weaker,all the seas would float to the moon.I, my house, and my town would follow.Leaving Earth an empty planet.

Then every day,Earth would try to take them back.But the moon's gravity would be stronger.

Thinking about it this way,I feel I can understand the moon.

Did the sea originally come from the moon?Is that why the moon tries so hard?
